How Do I Know If I'm running a 32-Bit or 64-Bit Windows System?
To install some softwares, drivers or applications in windows, you need to know which version of operating system you are running. Whether you are running 32-Bit or 64-Bit Windows System. Here I have listed the easiest way to figure it out.
32-bit or 64-bit Windows
In Vista/7
# : Right click on "My Computer" and select "properties".
# : It will open a new window with all the basic information about your computer.
# : Locate the "System type" in the system information box. You should see either 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.
In windows XP
# : Right click on "My Computer" and select "properties".
# : It will open a new window. In the general tab you will find the system information.
#: If you see "Windows XP x64 Edition," then your computer is running a 64-bit system. If you see just "Windows XP," then you are running a 32-bit operating system.
